127 Worldwide

Spring has sprung! We are excited to share the latest developments happening around 127 Worldwide. In December we shared our 2024 priorities, and here is a glimpse at what’s been keeping us busy.

In February, we met with each of our four partners for an equipping workshop to discuss strategic planning and impact measurement. These sessions provided essential tools for understanding and enhancing the impact of their work. Chris from Swahiba Networks shared that, “the training has broadened our capacity, as well as identified our priorities when it comes to serving in the community of Kibera.”

Thanks to our collaboration with Simba Technologies, we’re gathering crucial data from these hard-to-reach areas, enabling our partners to assess and improve projects supported through the Partner Grant Program. David, in Escuintla, Guatemala shared that, “I have discovered that we need to constantly review to make the right adjustments into every step of our ministry to get the expected results.” We are excited to come alongside our partners to strengthen the impact in their communities.

Exciting news! Geoffrey, from Acres of Hope Uganda, will visit the United States in September for the first time since 2018. During his visit, he’ll meet ministry partners, attend the CAFO Annual Summit, and connect with advocates in 127 Worldwide’s network. Stay tuned for updates on his travels through Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky. Could more 127 partners be visiting the US this year? We may be lucky enough to host multiple partners, so keep an eye out as the next few months unfold!

We’re preparing for two upcoming Equip Teams scheduled in early August and mid-October. These teams offer invaluable opportunities to equip our partners, their staff, and community church leaders with the tools and resources they need to thrive in their respective roles.

Our commitment to supporting foundational programs remains steadfast. Initiatives such as high school scholarships, Tumaini’s Family Empowerment Program, Swahiba’s Mentorship and Empowerment Program, agricultural projects at Acres of Hope, and discipleship ministries at Iglesia El Camino continue to receive our support. We’re proud to announce that we’ve already disbursed over $35,000 in grants to our partners this year.

One of our most exciting endeavors is the continuation of our Go Teams this year. Our first team is set to travel to Guatemala in June to serve alongside David Lara and his family. Spots for this team filled up faster than ever. We are thankful for the dedication of our advocates to serve alongside local leaders. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to join us on a Go Team in late summer or early fall. We believe participating on a Go Team is the best way to gain a full understanding of the mission and vision of 127 Worldwide. Would you or someone you know be a good candidate for a future team? Feel free to reach out through our contact form at the bottom of our website. We’d love to hear from you.
