Our Partners

We believe that partnership with local leaders who know the unique needs, culture, language, and history of vulnerable communities is the healthiest way to engage in vulnerable community care.
At 127, we identify a local leader as an individual engaged  in existing, effective ministry to the vulnerable within their own culture and community.

127's Partners

We work with local leaders who do orphan care, food programs, discipleship, deaf ministry, and more. These partners have been working to execute God’s command to care for the vulnerable before their paths crossed with 127 Worldwide.

Rose Bugusu

Tumaini Miles of Smiles is a children’s home and school led by Rose in rural western Kenya. Named after the Swahili word for “hope,” Tumaini provides care and protection to their community’s most vulnerable – orphans, widows and abandoned babies. Rose is proud to say that of the 163 students who have finished eighth grade at Tumaini, 100% have continued to high school.

Geoffrey Odongo

Geoffrey grew up as an orphan in war-torn northern Uganda and today he extends compassion and care to orphans at Acres of Hope, a children’s home and school in Nebbi, Uganda. AOH’s large plot of land has allowed expansion of pod houses, school buildings, and agricultural projects each impacting their community in a myriad of ways.

Chris Omondi

Chris grew up in the slums of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. After coming to faith through a Swahiba Networks (SN) program during his school years, he now leads the day-to-day initiatives of Swahiba as the organization seeks to serve young people living in one of the largest slums in the world by meeting physical and spiritual needs.

David Lara

David is the pastor of Iglesia Cristiana El Camino in Escuintla, Guatemala. Since 2011, David and other leaders from El Camino church have ministered in the nearby village of San Vicente. David sensed God’s leadership to plant a church in the heart of the village. He began with a few families, and the church has grown steadily in the last few years.
